[17-Oct-1990] The machine science.utah.edu, a DEC-20/60, will be retired on 31-Oct-1990, ending 12.5 years of faithful service. As of 1-Nov-1990, the name science.utah.edu will become an alias for math.utah.edu, a UNIX machine. All source directories previously available on the DEC-20/60 will be accessible from the replacement machine, but as UNIX directories, under the tree ~ftp/pub. The new version makes is possible to correctly hande .pk files with run-length or repeat counts > 32767, such as can occur with very large characters, or characters generated by Metafont from graphics images.
