This is a COMPLETE bibliography of the journal Advances and Applications in Statistics (CODEN none, ISSN 0972-3617), published by Pushpa Press in Allahabad, India. Publication began with volume 1, number 1, in 2001, and there are 1 to 4 volumes per year, each with 2 to 6 issues.

The journal's Web site is at

    http://www.pphmj.com/journals/contents/adas.htm

At version 1.06, the COMPLETE year coverage looked like this:

     2001 (  18)    2008 (  56)    2015 (  48)
     2002 (  21)    2009 (  46)    2016 (  54)
     2003 (  20)    2010 (  71)    2017 (  53)
     2004 (  25)    2011 (  58)    2018 (  63)
     2005 (  24)    2012 (  51)    2019 (  73)
     2006 (  28)    2013 (  52)    2020 (  87)
     2007 (  27)    2014 (  51)    2021 (  33)

     Article:        959

     Total entries:  959

Data for this bibliography have been derived mainly from issue metadata at the publisher's Web site, with a few additions from the BibNet Project and TeX User Group bibliography archives, together with data for 453 entries (at version 1.00) from the MathSciNet database.

Regrettably, the publisher metadata for this journal uppercases all titles, irreversibly destroying critical information. Considerable efforts have been made to correct title lettercasing, but it is possible that a few such errors remain.

Another serious failing in the publisher data is that mathematical text in titles is represented by unpredictably-named bitmap graphics images, without a sensibly-supplied ALT field in the HTML markup that could preserve unambiguous TeX markup for mathematics. Each such instance has been inspected visually in a GUI-based Web browser in order to supply correct title text.

DOI assignment began with volume 44 in 2015, but alas, DOI data are not recorded in the issue metadata Web pages, nor are they available in MathSciNet data, which have no coverage past volume 36, number 2, October 2013. Instead, DOI values can only be found by visiting the abstract Web pages whose URLs are recorded in entries in this file. More than 100 such Web pages were retrieved to supply missing DOI values. From volume 48, number 1, January 2016, DOI values assume a consistent, easily predictable, form, so future updates to this file should be able to generate them without the need to fetch additional Web pages.

Numerous errors in the sources noted above have been corrected. Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok. BibTeX citation tags are uniformly chosen as name:year:abbrev, where name is the family name of the first author or editor, year is a 4-digit number, and abbrev is a 3-letter condensation of important title words. Citation tags were automatically generated by software developed for the BibNet Project. In this bibliography, entries are sorted in publication order within each journal, using bibsort -byvolume.

The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
