This is an almost-complete bibliography of the history-of-science journal Centaurus (CODEN CENTA4, ISSN 0008-8994 (print), 1600-0498 (electronic)) published by Wiley. Centaurus is the official journal of the European Society for the History of Science.
Publication began with Volume 1, Number 1, in September 1950. In early years, there were 2 to 4 issues a year. Most recent volumes appear quarterly.
From 2022, Centaurus moves from Wiley to a new publisher, Brepols, and is renamed Centaurus: Journal of the European Society for the History of Science. The new journal is covered in this file.

Data for this bibliography have been derived from entries in the TeX User Group and BibNet Project archives, from the publisher's Web site, and from various online journal databases that were consulted to fill in holes in the publisher's coverage.
Warning: the publisher has no data for volume 19, number 3 (1975), there is 15-page gap in volume 23, number 4 (1980), and a 112-page gap between numbers 1 and 2 of volume 36 (1993). All missing entries for volume 19, number 3 (1975) have been found and included here.
Based on a page-gap analysis, coverage is believed to be essentially complete, EXCEPT for end-of-issue book reviews and notes, where the publisher data are sorely inadequate, and the 112-page gap in volume 36 (1993).
As time permits, entries for reviewed books may be added to the end of this bibliography. However, the lack of publisher ISBN data in review titles makes that job much more difficult than it should be.
Numerous errors in the publisher data noted above have been corrected with assorted software tools, and by examination of article initial pages. Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok.
The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
