This is a COMPLETE bibliography of the journal Designs, Codes, and Cryptography (CODEN DCCREC, ISSN 0925-1022 (print), 1573-7586 (electronic)), originally published by Kluwer Academic Publishers, and now by Springer Science and Business Media B.V.. Publication began with volume 1, number 1, in 1991, and the journal appears irregularly, with up to three volumes (nine issues) yearly.

The journal has World-Wide Web sites at

with tables of contents for volume 5 to date, and pointers to abstracts, keywords, and, for qualified subscribers only, full text of articles in PDF form. URL values in the entries below point to these documents. The tables of contents have errors of truncation, and a good deal of missing mathematical markup, which might be reflected in entries below when no other sources of data are available.

At version 2.55, the year coverage looked like this:

     1994 (  28)    2006 ( 104)    2018 ( 155)
     1995 (  39)    2007 (  76)    2019 ( 150)
     1996 (  71)    2008 (  87)    2020 ( 137)

     2000 (  49)    2012 ( 116)    2024 (  54)
     2001 (  76)    2013 (  91)
     2002 (  56)    2014 ( 171)

     Article:       3125

     Total entries: 3125

At version 2.01, BibTeX entries derived from data at the Springer Web site for all back issues were merged in, resulting in updates and corrections to many entries.

In addition, thanks to Springer-Verlag's sensible choice of predictable DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) and article URLs, EVERY article in the journal is now directly reachable from its BibTeX entry. Of course, access to article full text normally requires a journal subscription that may or may not be available at your site.

The publishers' table-of-contents Web pages regrettably truncate author lists after the third author, but at least mark the omission with ``et al.''. For every such abbreviated list, the article Web pages have been visited to find the complete and correct author list, so no author in this journal should be unfairly ignored by this bibliography.

The initial draft of this bibliography was constructed primarily from the Compendex and MathSciNet databases, and from the journal Web site. The journal is not covered by the OCLC Contents1st database. The collection was then augmented with entries from the author's personal bibliography files, and a small number from the very large computer science bibliography collection at http://liinwww.ira.uka.de/bibliography/ and ftp://ftp.ira.uka.de/pub/bibliography to which many people of have contributed.

The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
