This is a COMPLETE BibTeX bibliography for the journal ACM ForTec Forum (CODEN none, ISSN 0735-3731), and its renamed successor, ACM Fortran Forum (CODEN none, ISSN 1061-7264), for 1982--2020. Publication was indefinitely suspended in 2021.

Publication of ACM ForTec Forum began with volume 1, number 1, in July 1982, and ceased with volume 3, number 2 (June 1984). It was continued by ACM Fortran Forum from volume 3, number 3 (December 1984), to date.

There were two annual issues in 1982, four annual issues from 1983 to 1995, and since then, three annual issues.

The journal is unusual in that issues are assigned a separate serial number; that number is coded in issue key values in the BibTeX entries below.

Tables-of-contents of most issues are available via links (Portal -> DL Home -> Newsletters -> ACM SIGPLAN Fortran Forum) from the ACM Digital Library site

    http://portal.acm.org/

or directly at

    https://dl.acm.org/loi/sigplan-fortran
    http://portal.acm.org/toc.cfm?id=J286

There does not yet appear to be electronic versions of article texts. That site covers only about 30% of the entries listed here: it is missing some issues, and catalogs only longer articles.

There are companion bibliographies on Fortran topics in the files fortran1.bib, fortran2.bib, fortran3.bib, and hpfortran.bib available at the same location as this file:

The initial draft of this bibliography was derived from data at the ACM Digital Library Web site, and augmented with data from entries in the TeX User Group bibliography archive.

Special thanks go to John Rice at Purdue University for supplying information for journal issues unavailable at the bibliography site.

ACM copyrights explicitly permit abstracting with credit, so article abstracts, keywords, and subject classifications have been included in this bibliography wherever available.

The bibsource keys in the bibliography entries below indicate the data sources.

URL keys in the bibliography point to World Wide Web locations of additional information about the entry.

Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok.

BibTeX citation tags are uniformly chosen as name:year:abbrev, where name is the family name of the first author or editor, year is a 4-digit number, and abbrev is a 3-letter condensation of important title words. Citation tags were automatically generated by software developed for the BibNet Project.

In this bibliography, entries are sorted in publication order, using ``bibsort -byvolume.''

The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
