This is a COMPLETE bibliography of the journal Linear and Multilinear Algebra (CODEN LNMLAZ, ISSN 0308-1087 (print), 1563-5139 (electronic)). The journal was published by Gordon and Breach from volume 1 (1973) to volume 49 (2001). Publication then moved to Taylor & Francis, and the name was shortened to Linear Multilinear Algebra, but without changing the CODEN or ISSN values, as should have been the expected practice.

Numerous errors in the sources noted above have been corrected. Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok.
There are page gaps in the journal metadata at the publisher Web site for at least these:

The gaps have been repaired by finding the missing articles in the MathSciNet database.
Data for this bibliography have been obtained primarily from the publisher Web site, with additions from bibliographies in the BibNet Project and TeX User Group archives, and checks against entries for selected years in the MathSciNet database, which is generally a superb source of metadata.
In dozens of cases, it was necessary to consult original article PDFs to correct errors in the publisher metadata. Hundreds of titles required repairs of erroneous downcasing of proper names, runtogetherwords, and frequently-botched mathematical text. It would be desirable to check the entries here against other data sources, but neither the MathSciNet nor the ZBmath databases make that practical to do for almost three thousand entries. Other databases that might cover at least some of the journal entries have been found to have exceptionally high error rates, making them useless for such consistency checks.
DOI values are provided for all but entry Anonymous:1997:RCT, which is missing from the publisher Web site.
BibTeX citation tags are uniformly chosen as name:year:abbrev, where name is the family name of the first author or editor, year is a 4-digit number, and abbrev is a 3-letter condensation of important title words. Citation tags were automatically generated by software developed for the BibNet Project.
In this bibliography, entries are sorted in publication order within each journal, using bibsort -byvolume.
