This file contains a COMPLETE bibliography of the book series Lecture Notes in Computational Science and Engineering (CODEN LNCSA6, ISSN 1439-7358) published by Springer-Verlag. About 2/3 of the volumes are conference proceedings, and the remaining 1/3 are monographs or edited collections of invited papers.
By late 2015, volumes 1--103, 105, and 106 have appeared. Volumes 25 and 32 are missing from the publisher Web site, but have been located in library catalogs, so there are BibTeX entries for all of the series volumes in this file.
Entries are also provided for all papers in conference proceedings volumes of the series.

The original version (18 October 2000) of this bibliography was constructed almost entirely from searches in the University of California MELVYL catalog, and the OCLC WorldCat catalog, with additional data from the U.S. Library of Congress catalog. It has since been augmented by data from the publisher Web site.
Sadly, library catalogs and publisher Web pages are often unreliable sources of author information, with author lists being truncated, misspelled, reordered, or even just plain wrong. Consequently, now that the publisher kindly makes available PDF files for the front matter of its series volumes, it has been possible to check 85 of the 90 volumes for correctness of authors, editors, and titles, and to supply notes documenting conference names and locations. There are no front-matter PDF files for the remaining 5 volumes, which appear to be undocumented or missing at the publisher's Web site.
Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok.
BibTeX citation tags are uniformly chosen as name:year:abbrev, where name is the family name of the first author or editor, year is a 4-digit number, and abbrev is a 3-letter condensation of important title words. Citation labels were automatically generated by software developed for the BibNet Project.
In this bibliography, entries are sorted in volume order, with the help of ``bibsort byvolume''. The bibsort utility is available at

The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
