This is a COMPLETE bibliography of the science history journal Osiris (CODEN OSIRAX and OSIRE3, ISSN 0369-7827 (print), 1933-8287 (electronic)), published for the History of Science Society, Philadelphia, PA, USA by the Society, by Saint Catherine Press (Bruges, Belgium), by the University of Chicago Press, and by the University of Rhode Island.

The journal Osiris is a companion to the journal Isis, which is covered in separate decade-specific bibliographies isis1910.bib, isis1920.bib, ..., isis2010.bib.

Publication of Osiris began with volume 1 in 1936, and ceased with volume 15 in 1968. The journal was resumed as Osiris (Series 2) in 1985, numbering again with volume 1.

There were no issues in 1940--1947 and 1969--1984. Journal articles in the first series are in English, French, German, and Italian, but in the second series, all are in English. English translations are provided for non-English titles.

The journal has Web sites at

Data for this bibliography have been derived almost entirely from the JSTOR archives, with correction of all detected errors. Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok.

BibTeX citation tags are uniformly chosen as name:year:abbrev, where name is the family name of the first author or editor, year is a 4-digit number, and abbrev is a 3-letter condensation of important title words. Citation tags were automatically generated by software developed for the BibNet Project.

In this bibliography, entries are sorted in publication order within each journal, using bibsort -byvolume.

The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
