This is a COMPLETE bibliography of publications in the journal Parallel Algorithms and Applications (CODEN PAAPEC, ISSN 1063-7192), published by Gordon and Breach Science Publishers (Yverdon, Switzerland). Publication began with volume 1 in 1993, and ceased with volume 19, number 4, in 2004. The journal was then sold to Taylor and Francis in the UK, and renamed the International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems: IJPEDS. The new journal is covered in a separate bibliography, intjparemerdistsys.bib.
Publication data for the old journal are available at the Taylor and Francis Web site, and have been incorporated in this bibliography from version 1.00. That update added more than 100 new entries, and rectified many data errors in earlier versions arising from poor-quality Web listings at the original publisher.

This journal is not covered by any of the major bibliographic databases: Applied Science and Technology, Biosis, Compendex, IEEE INSPEC, Medline, OCLC Article1st, OCLC Contents1st, UMI Index, or Uncover.
Instead, data for this bibliography has been recovered by searching bibliographies on the IEEE Computer Society 1995 and 1996 CD ROMs, which contain the full text of 16 IEEE journals, and by searching Internet Web sites for bibliographic references to this journal.
Using author-provided bibliographic data as a source is clearly less desirable than using independent journal databases. Consequently, this bibliography is given an initial major version number of zero instead of one.
In about half the references found, the journal is incorrectly cited as ``Journal of Parallel Algorithms and Applications''. There is frequent disagreement about the volume, number, and pages of articles.
At version 0.06, additional material from the MathSciNet and Zentralblatt fuer Mathematik databases was added, and many existing entries were updated.
