This is a bibliography of The X Journal (CODEN XJOUEA, ISSN 1056-7003), September/October 1991--1996, published by SIGS Publications. The X Journal ceased publication at Volume 6, Number 2, 1996.

This journal contains articles about the X Window System.

At version 1.04, the year coverage looked like this:

     1995 ( 19) 1996 ( 74)

Article: 93

Total entries: 93

So far, I have been unable to find this journal's contents covered in any library database.

The journal's World-Wide Web site at http://www.sigs.com/publications/docs/txjr/ contains tables of contents starting with volume 4, number 3, January/February, 1995, although no page number data is available, and not all issues since then are covered. That data has been used to construct most of the entries below. Missing initial page numbers have been supplied from the original journal issues, but no attempt has been made to identify ending page numbers, since this journal intersperses article pages with advertisements.

In a few cases, the complete article text is available on the World-Wide Web; a URL key in the bibliography entry points to it.

Spelling has been verified with the UNIX spell and GNU ispell programs using the exception dictionary stored in the companion file with extension .sok.

BibTeX citation tags are uniformly chosen as name:year:abbrev, where name is the family name of the first author or editor, year is a 4-digit number, and abbrev is a 3-letter condensation of important title words. Citation tags were automatically generated by software developed for the BibNet Project.

In this bibliography, entries are sorted in publication order, using bibsort -byvolume.

The checksum field above contains a CRC-16 checksum as the first value, followed by the equivalent of the standard UNIX wc (word count) utility output of lines, words, and characters. This is produced by Robert Solovay's checksum utility.
