============================================================ PSNFSS 9.0 -- sources ============================================================ 2002-04-24 Walter Schmidt Most of the TFM and VF files in the PSNFSS distribution can be created from running the particular AFM files through fontinst 1.801, using its \latinfamily command. Do not use the FD files generated in this step: the FDs in the PSNFSS distribution provide additional font substitutions, which were added manually. As to Palatino, you need to patch the AFM files before running fontinst on them: remove the annoying kern pair "KPX one-one". No fontinst scripts are provided for these trivial cases. There are, however, some exceptions: Palatino text companion fonts ----------------------------- With version 9.0 of PSNFSS, new VFs and metrics for the textcompanion fonts were introduced. They include the Omega and Euro symbols of the Pazo fonts. These virtual fonts were created using the fontinst script insttc.tex in the subdirectory ./palatino. mathptm, mathptmx, mathpple --------------------------- Each subdirectory contains a makefile for the particular math font family. These makefiles need editing to reflect the directory layout of your TeX system. Each makefile provides a target "all", which generates the fonts and copies them to the right (TDS compliant) directories. See the comments in the makefiles for more information. mathpazo -------- => CTAN:fonts/mathpazo/pazofnst/ Legal stuff ----------- The sources of PSNFSS v9.0 may be distributed and/or modified under the conditions of the LaTeX Project Public License, either version 1.2 of this license or (at your option) any later version.
