This file contains updates for the teTeX system. If you have a running teTeX system, here is the way to find out, which updates are already installed: - If there is no file $TEXMF/updates.dat, then you propably have no updates installed. You can find your $TEXMF by running the command kpsexpand '$TEXMF' - If there is a file called $TEXMF/updates.dat, it lists the installed updates. To install e.g. update-001.sh, just run it with a bourne shell interpreter (/bin/sh on most systems, but on some /bin/sh5 or /bin/bsh): sh ./update-001.sh Thomas
