If you want to remake the configure scripts (for example, to fix a bug
in Autoconf) in this distribution, you'll need to replace the autoconf
distribution files with the files in this directory and reinstall
autoconf.  (Probably under a different name or using symlinks or some
such, so you can keep the original and my modified version distinct.)

Depending on your personal preferences, you may wish to rename acsite.m4
to aclocal.m4 before running Autoconf.  Or you can put everything
exactly where I have them (see ./make/config.make) and then the
dependencies should work out.

If another version of Autoconf is released, it may or may not include
some or all of these changes (I've reported them all to
bug-gnu-utils@prep.ai.mit.edu).  It's not under my control.
