This file is the TeX source of The TeXbook by Donald E. Knuth. It is distributed only for people to see its examples of TeX input, not for use in the preparation of books like The TeXbook. This manual is copyrighted and should not be TeXed!

story.tex

This is the canonical example file for TeX described in Chapter 6 of The TeXbook.

A torture test for TeX (DVI)

This is an abridged version of the manual that describes the trip test, a torture test for TeX. (Most of the appendices have been left out since nobody really would want to read that anyway.)

The Errorlog of TeX (DVI)

This is a chronological listing of all ``errors'' in TeX since the very beginning (covering both TeX78 and TeX82). It was originally published as an appendix of the paper The Errors of TeX by Donald E. Knuth and later updated and reprinted as Chapter 10 of his book Literate Programming.

This is a chronological listing of all changes and bug fixes in the TeX program (TeX82) that have been applied since Version 0 in September 1982.
