WinEdt 1.41 History on CTAN: ============================ Official Release: February 11, 1997 Patch 1: February 14, 1997 - The bug that caused the display to "flicker" under WinNT is fixed - OEM to ANSI translation now works properly - Menu Setup Command has been placed by default in the Options Menu (where most users expected it to be) - A new topic on TeX and International (8-bit) Characters was added to the help file... Patch 2: February 15, 1997 - The German Dictionary "de.dic" included in "winedt/dict" directory has been corrected: the character {\ss} has been converted from OEM to its ANSI equivalent (225->223 ASCII). _________________________________________________________________________ WinEdt 1.41-b Official Release: March 3, 1997 All reported bugs have been (hopefully) fixed... Patch 1: March 4, 1997 The problem with installing WinEdt in a readonly directory (on the network) has been resolved. WinEdt could not read the bitmap "winedt.bmp" without write access... _________________________________________________________________________ WinEdt 1.41-c Official Release: April 13, 1997 For over a month WinEdt has been intensively tested on all Windows platforms. The problems on Win3x and WinNT have been finally resolved. WinEdt is now performing reasonably well and appears to be very stable on all platforms. The appearance of Dialogs conforms to Windows standards and WinEdt 1.41-c supports long filenames on Win95 and WinNT. Additional DDE functionality has been implemented, together with a few new features and minor enhancements. All known bugs in 1.41-b were eliminated... Patch 1: April 14, 1997 The bug related to the "Save Settings..." Command when WinEdt is installed in the directory with long filename is fixed. Do not specify long filenames for ".ini" files.
