PLPSFONT ======== The PL*.PFB collection of PostScript fonts corresponds to the bitmap fonts PL*.PK of the MeX package by Bogus/law Jackowski and Marek Ry/cko. The package includes: 1. PostScript fonts in the Adobe Type1 format (77 files.): PLB10.PFB PLSL9.PFB PLBSY10.PFB PLSLTT10.PFB PLBX10.PFB PLSS10.PFB PLBX12.PFB PLSS12.PFB PLBX5.PFB PLSS17.PFB PLBX6.PFB PLSS8.PFB PLBX7.PFB PLSS9.PFB PLBX8.PFB PLSSBI10.PFB PLBX9.PFB PLSSBX10.PFB PLBXSL10.PFB PLSSDC10.PFB PLBXTI10.PFB PLSSI10.PFB PLCSC10.PFB PLSSI12.PFB PLDUNH10.PFB PLSSI17.PFB PLEX10.PFB PLSSI8.PFB PLEX9.PFB PLSSI9.PFB PLFF10.PFB PLSSQ8.PFB PLFI10.PFB PLSSQI8.PFB PLFIB8.PFB PLSY10.PFB PLINCH.PFB PLSY5.PFB PLITT10.PFB PLSY6.PFB PLMI10.PFB PLSY7.PFB PLMI12.PFB PLSY8.PFB PLMI5.PFB PLSY9.PFB PLMI6.PFB PLTCSC10.PFB PLMI7.PFB PLTEX10.PFB PLMI8.PFB PLTEX8.PFB PLMI9.PFB PLTEX9.PFB PLMIB10.PFB PLTI10.PFB PLR10.PFB PLTI12.PFB PLR12.PFB PLTI7.PFB PLR17.PFB PLTI8.PFB PLR5.PFB PLTI9.PFB PLR6.PFB PLTT10.PFB PLR7.PFB PLTT12.PFB PLR8.PFB PLTT8.PFB PLR9.PFB PLTT9.PFB PLSL10.PFB PLU10.PFB PLSL12.PFB PLVTT10.PFB PLSL8.PFB These files should be copied into a suddirectory where other PostScript fonts are stored (the path can be found in the config.ps file of the program DVIPS). 2. File plpsfont.map The contents of this file should be appended to the same named configuration file of the program DVIPS. 3. File plsample.tex After executing the actions of points 1 and 2 above we may implement the full procedure meant for PostScript documents of TeX, e.g. (we refer to hypothetical names of batch command files here), - mex.bat plsample.tex % running TeX with the format MeX - dvips32 plsample.dvi % running DVIPS to create a *.PS file % REMARK: because of a large number of % fonts in the example one should declare % a big volume of virtual memory in % config.ps, for instance: m 10000000 - gvp.bat plsample.ps % running Ghostscript in order to view % or print the processed document - gj.bat plsample.ps % just writing the document on % a non-PostScript printer - copy plsample.ps prn % writing the document on a PostScript printer - and so on... 4. The PL*.PFB fonts have been created with the use of the CM*.PFB fonts that correspond to the CM*.PK fonts coming with each distribution of TeX. The CM*.PFB fonts have been released in public domain by the American Mathematical Society.
