The appendix package provides various ways of formatting the titles
of appendices.
o `Appendix', or a similar phrase can be prepended to the appendix
  number for article class documents (this is the standard behaviour
  for book and report classes).
o `Appendices' or a similar phrase can be added to the Table of
  Contents before the appendices are listed.
o `Appendices' or a similar phrase can be typeset as a \part-like
  heading in the document body before the first appendix.
o An appendices environment is provided which can be used instead
  of the \appendix command.

Changes in version 1.1
o Addition of a subappendices environment for per chapter/section appendices
o Appendices environment now restores chapter/section numbering at the end

    The distribution consists of the following files:

appendix.ins
appendix.dtx

    The distribution is provided under the terms of the LaTeX
Project Public License (LPPL).

    To install the package:
o run: latex appendix.ins (which will generate appendix.sty)
o Move appendix.sty to a location where LaTeX will find it.
o NB. The appendix package also requires the ifthen package.
o To obtain the user manual:
  o run: latex appendix.dtx
  o run: makeindex -s gind.ist appendix
  o run: latex appendix.dtx
  o Print appendix.dvi for a hardcopy of the package manual
