TUG Technical Working Groups

Technical Working Groups are appointed by the Technical Council with the purpose of studying and making recommendations related to specific issues. Below is a brief list of currently active groups and the chair persons that all inquiries should be directed to. Suggestions for new groups should be addressed to tech-council@tug.org

TeX Extended Mathematics Font Encoding ( WG-92-01): The group is actively working on a number of new standards for TeX math fonts and tools to support them. Contact: Barbara Beeton
TeX Archive Guidelines ( WG-92-05): Contact: Sebastian Rahtz
TeX Directory Structure ( WG-94-07): The group has mostly completed a specification for the standard TeX system hierarchy. Contact: Karl Berry
DVI Driver Implementation and Standardisation Issues ( WG-94-08): Contact: Michael Sofka
TeX and Linguistics. ( WG-94-10): Contact: Christina Thiele
