The COHERENT  system automatically invokes a  number of utilities
that help COHERENT to maintain itself.  These utilities will, for
example,  run  programs for  you  at  pre-determined times,  swap
temporary files  in and out of memory,  update files, and perform
other  useful  tasks.   COHERENT  includes the  following  system
maintenance routines:
