ddiissaabbllee -- Command

Disable a port
/eettcc/ddiissaabbllee _p_o_r_t...

ddiissaabbllee tells the COHERENT system not to create a login process for each
given asynchronous _p_o_r_t. For example, the command

    /etc/disable com1r

disables port /ddeevv/ccoomm11rr. ddiissaabbllee changes the entry for each given _p_o_r_t in
the terminal characteristics file /eettcc/ttttyyss, and signals iinniitt to rescan the
ttttyyss file.

The command eennaabbllee enables a port. The command ttttyyssttaatt checks whether a
port is enabled or disabled.

ddiissaabbllee normally returns one if it disables the _p_o_r_t successfully and zero
if not. If more than one _p_o_r_t is specified, ddiissaabbllee returns the success or
failure status of the last port it finds. It returns -1 if it cannot find
any given _p_o_r_t. An exit status of -2 indicates an error.
