This directory contains examples of the files which should go into
/etc.  These files fall into two broad categories, network files, and
system files.  The network files are not necessary if you are not
going to run the Berkeley TCP/IP code in your kernel.  A brief
description of the files is given below:

			NETWORK FILES

	gateways 		A list of known network gateways
	hosts 			The list of known hosts
	hosts.arpa 		A more complete list of hosts from sri-nic
	hosts.equiv 		The hosts you share account names with
	networks 		A list of known networks (e.g. ARPANET)
	protocols 		The known protocols
	services 		A list of standard services and sockets
	phones			The telephone database for tip
