TeX Live mailing lists

First, two common kinds of messages which should not go to any TeX Live list:

Package bug reports should go to the package author. TL redistributes what is on CTAN without changes.
General (La)TeX usage questions, including questions about specific packages, should go to one of the general help resources. The TeX Live lists are for TeX Live topics specifically, not just any question about TeX.

Here are the TeX Live mailing lists (they are all hosted on tug.org):

tex-live@tug.org - bug reports, package requests and packaging problems, license issues, and general TeX Live discussion of any kind. Reports about specific packages should go to the package maintainers.
tlbuild@tug.org - specifically about building binaries from sources included in TL, and additional custom binaries.
tldistro@tug.org - specifically about adapting TeX Live for complete OS distributions.
tldoc@tug.org - specifically about the base TeX Live documentation and its translations.
tex-live-commits - archive of commits to the source repository.
tlsecurity@tug.org - specifically for security-related reports. Archives are not public.
