* General information

GemVt is the GNU Emulator of a Virtual Terminal for the X Window System
written on top of the Gtk+ toolkit.

This is beta software.


* Licensing

The code for GemVt is released under the terms of the GNU GPL (GNU GENERAL
PUBLIC LICENSE).
Read the file COPYING for more information.

* Requirements

The GemVt program depends on a couple of extra packages for working properly:

	- The latest Gtk+: This is the release of the Gtk+ toolkit.
	  You can find Gtk+ releases at:
	  
	  ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gtk/
	
	- libgtktty: this library should have already been supplied along
	  with the version of GemVt you received.


* Getting GemVt

GemVt has it's own web page from which you can also get the latest release
of libgtktty:
