Architecture (DECdta) describes the modules and
interfaces that are common to Digital's transaction
processing (DECtp) products. The architecture allows
easy distribution of DECtp products. In particular, it
supports client\slash server style applications.
Distributed transaction management is the main function
that ties DECdta modules together. It ensures that
application programs, database systems, and other
resource managers interoperate reliably in a
distributed system.",
